Assistance for Veterans

To further assist the men and women who served our nation, as well as their spouses, my office hosts veterans’ outreach assistance with an official from the York County Veterans Affairs Office from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. Assistance provided includes help with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as issues pertaining to veterans benefits or the U.S. Veterans Administration. To set up an appointment, call my office at 717-840-4711.

The 47th District consists of part of YORK County consisting of the TOWNSHIPS of Conewago, East Manchester, Hellam, Manchester and Springettsbury (part) and the BOROUGHS of Hallam, Manchester, Mount Wolf and Wrightsville.

HARRISBURG – Kids trapped in failing schools will no longer have the chance to escape, thanks to Gov. Josh Shapiro’s broken Lifeline Scholarship promise, said Rep. Joe D’Orsie (R-Manchester). The governor, after repeatedly making a promise to kids stuck in the bottom 15% of failing schools, flip-flopped, vowing now to line-item veto the Pennsylvania Award for Student Success scholarship program in the budget approved by House Democrats.
