D’Orsie Announces More Than $1 Million in Grant Funding for the 47th Legislative District

HARRISBURG – Six projects in the 47th Legislative District will be receiving nearly $1.1 million in state grant funding, according to Rep. Joe D’Orsie (R-Manchester). 

"I'm pleased to advocate for my district and its infrastructure and emergency response needs,” said “D’Orsie. “These grant awards will go to good use – keeping the people of the 47th safe."

Those receiving grants are:

East Manchester Township - $45,705 to purchase a new fleet vehicle, replacing the existing vehicle currently in operation.
Hellam Township - $29,229 to purchase and install upgraded equipment for a computer server used by the township and local police department.
Mt. Wolf Borough - $110,060 to purchase a backhoe loader for continued construction projects for the borough.
Spring Garden Township - $575,000 to replace 128 portable and six mobile emergency response radios for the township.
Springettsbury Township - $293,324 to upgrade two-way police radios. 
York County Economic Alliance, on behalf of Easter Seals Western and Central Pennsylvania - $44,683 to purchase a minivan.

The projects are funded through the Local Share Account program through the Commonwealth Financing Authority. Projects eligible for funding through the program must be in the public interest and aim to improve the quality of life of citizens in the community.
